Gong Trilogy - To the Cultural Space of Gong Culture through the Archipelago of Southeast Asia
Yasuhiro Morinaga, sound designer, is to conduct an extensive field research for gong culture collaborating with local artists to create an inter-cultural works. Through the archipelagic gong cultures along the sea, the project is to understand, share, and develop the connectivity of inter-culturalism.

長期における国際交流基金アジアセンターの助成を受けることができたことで、事業を超えた人間関係の交流、世界の見方、ものづくりの態度というものを、より掘り下げて考えることができるようになった。東南アジアは、地政学的に大陸部と島嶼部に分かれている。しかし音楽文化は海を介して、島々で広くつながりあっており、今まで知りえなかった異文化の繋がりを肌で感じることができたことは大きな糧となっている。この糧を広く共有していくための方法を見出し、さらなる交流と創作活動をおこなっていきたい。
