160ヵ国以上にネットワークを持つSlow Foodの先住民ネットワークのメンバーを中心に、タイ、アイヌ、台湾、琉球、フィリピン、インド、インドネシアの、7つの国と地域で「食」をテーマに先進的な取り組みをしている先住民当事者による、バーチャルフィールドトリップとオンラインワークショップを開催した。また、その内容を記録し、グラフィックと共にテキスト教材を制作した。普段は個別に活動をしている先住民の活動家たちが相互に意見や情報を交換できる場を設け、共通の課題に対する理解が深まり、解決・改善に向けた協働のためのプラットフォームが構築された。また、Webサイトやテキストを作成し先住民当事者の若者たちが自身のコミュニティに回帰/貢献するきっかけとなる学びと気づきのツールを提供することができるようになった。

From the Organizer

天然資源の枯渇や気候変動、生物多様性の喪失など地球規模での危機が叫ばれて久しい中、2020年初めごろから全世界的に起こったパンデミックを通しても、人類規模の課題が改めて顕在化している。それにより、食文化も多大な影響を受けている。本事業では、①自然と共生してきた各地の先住民が祖先から受け継いできた叡知から学び、地球上で人間が生きていくために、自然に対峙する姿勢や、価値の捉え方を考え直す機会を作り、②同時に、この学び合いが、現代の構造の中で発言権を持てていないことの多い、「先住民」のエンパワメントとなり、③そして、全ての人と関わりがある「食」というテーマを設定することで、全参加者が自分ごととして捉えることができるための設計をしている。国際交流基金の助成を受けて先住民のエンパワメントの事業を行うのは二年目だが、引き続き、「先住民の叡智の重要性」「エンパワメントの必要性」「『食』の学際性」に価値をおき、事業を行なっていく予定である。
