【採択時の概要】                                                                       高齢化は世界が直面している課題であり多くの研究が存在するが、研究を社会に還元できていない例が多い。申請団体は、当事者である地域の高齢者を主体として、実際のコミュニティで実験をすることによって社会を変えていくアクションリサーチが活動内容であり、そのような事業の経験者によって構成されている。この知見をまとめた秋山弘子著「高齢社会のアクションリサーチ」(東京大学出版会)をもとにアジアの研究者とワークショップを行い、各地でいかに高齢者が住みよいコミュニティを作っていくかを具体的に議論し、アクションにつなげる。
