Aging Migrants in a Multicultural Society: Exploring the Case of Filipinos in Malaysia

This is an exploratory study that aims to examine the case of aging migrants in a multi-cultural society in Asia, through the cases of Filipino migrants in Malaysia. Earlier Filipino migrants to Malaysia have made the country their home, and many of them are approaching the age of retirement or have retired. This project aims, among other things, to examine issues related to aging such as social welfare, health, family relationships, perceptions of home, and end-of-life decision making.
