Artist Residency in Antenna Media Kyoto, Research and artistic production

A self-directed research residency in the Kansai area that focuses on artist-run spaces forming its value and importance in the contemporary art context by means of sharing networks and working together, and on the visibility of their projects within the social sphere. Another layer of the research is a forgotten history between the Philippines and Japan through a mysterious jar called Luzon Tzubo, wherein the researcher tries to piece back together the blurred connection between the two countries before the war. Both the artist spaces and the jar, in one way or another, represent how we make value and meaning if we put or create something in an empty space.
